The VALOI 120 Holder is made for 120 medium format film (and works with 220 and 620 film), and have a frame size of 6x9 - it will help you keep film flat and reduce reflections. It is compatible with the Advancer but can be used on its own. Read more about the VALOI 120 Holder.
The VALOI Diffuser is made to create more even lighting that hide imperfections on the light source for cleaner scans. It is also very useful for diffusing the pixels in a screen, if you use a phone or tablet as a light source. Read more about the VALOI Diffuser.
The VALOI Masks are optional accessories that mask of extra light around the film when scanning smaller formats than the maximum aperture of the Holder - such as 6x6 in the VALOI 120 Holder. They are great for setups with older lenses that don't handle high-contrast areas very well or just if you want to maximise quality of the frame. Read more about the VALOI Masks.
Additional accessories are necessary to produce a final image, including a digital camera, a close-focusing lens and a light source. See our gear-guide for more at Valoi.co.
Anyone shooting film knows that scanning usually either includes using a slow antiquated flatbed scanner that gives poor results and takes a long time, or includes paying for expensive lab scans that aren't always the way you want them to be.
VALOI's DSLR scanning system is the solution to that - with the VALOI 360 system of products you can scan full rolls of film at high quality in minutes using a digital camera, while having full control over the whole process. Camera scanning can give you quality scans quickly at a relatively low price - it does not have to be expensive (you can read more about how to set up your scanning setup for the least amount of money at VALOI's Gear Guide.
With our the VALOI holders, you can use either the 35mm or 120 Holder on their own to start scanning for cheap, or upgrade with the Advancer to get professional precsision while advancing each frame and enable better use of our three accessories to improve your experience and results.
